Presentation Instructions
Oral Presentations
Each oral presentation is allocated a 25-minute time slot, divided as follows:
- 20 minutes for the presentation, including the conclusion
- 3 minutes for questions
- 2 minutes for the transition to the next presentation (changing presentations, announcements by the session chair, etc.)
A Windows laptop will be available in each presentation room, with Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Reader installed. Presenters are kindly requested to copy their presentation to the room computer before the start of the session.
If you prefer to use your own laptop, please make sure to check the display connection and presentation formatting during the coffee break preceding your session.
A conference timing system will run on the laptops to keep presentations synchronised across all rooms. The system will display the time remaining for each part of the 25-minute slot: Presentation (including conclusion), Questions, and Transition. An audible signal will indicate the end of each part and the start of the next.
Poster Presentations
- There is no mandatory template for posters.
- The poster boards are A0 size (841 × 1189 mm) and must be used in portrait orientation.
- There is no on-site printing facility. Presenters should therefore bring their poster with them and should not rely on local printing shops being able to print it at short notice.
- Posters should be mounted on the designated display board before the start of the corresponding morning or afternoon session.
- Presenters are kindly requested to remain next to their poster throughout the corresponding morning or afternoon coffee break to discuss their work with conference participants.
