ISMA 2026 Special Session

in memory of Dave Brown & Randy Allemang

Dave Brown and Randy Allemang were pioneers and giants in the field of EMA (Experimental Modal Analysis),  last year they passed away much too early.  In this special  session friends and colleagues of Dave and Randy will review their scientific contributions and trace  the history of the intense collaboration between KU Leuven (LMSD) and the University of Cincinnati (SDRL). A story that led  to the ISMA conferences and courses and was an inspiring factor in the success of the KU Leuven spin-off LMS International (in 2012 acquired by Siemens, and integrated within  Siemens Industrial Software as the Simulation and Test Solutions Business).
