Presentation instructions

Oral presentation instructions

Each oral presentation is allotted a time slot of 25 minutes. These 25 minutes are subdivided as follows:

  • 20 minutes for the presentation (including the conclusion)
  • 3 minutes for questions
  • 2 minutes for switching (changing presentation, announcement by chair, etc.)

A laptop (Windows) is present in each room and has PowerPoint and Adobe Reader X installed. You are kindly asked to copy your presentation to the laptop before the start of the session. If you prefer to use your own laptop, please check correct display and formatting in the coffee break before the start of your session.
A conference timing system will be running on the laptops to keep the presentations in all rooms synchronised. The software will indicate on the screen the minutes left for each part (Presentation (including the conclusion), Questions and Switch) of the 25 minutes and give beeps when going from one part to the next.

Poster presentation instructions

There is no template for the posters. The display boards are of size A0 (841x1189) and are oriented in portrait direction. There is no on-site printing facility and the presenter should not count on local printing shops to be able to print the poster on the spot. The poster should be affixed to the display board before the start of the morning or afternoon sessions. The presenter is kindly asked to be present next to his or her poster during the entire duration of the morning or afternoon coffee break.
